The Swiss Hotel School South Africa is a unique Higher Education Institution offering world-renowned Hospitality education. SHS started offering high-quality education at its first campus in 1995. Founded by Jurg Vontobel (a well-known hospitality educator from Switzerland). SHS quickly gained a firm reputation for the competence, skill and ‘can-do’ attitude of its students.
The Swiss Hotel School offers a CHE accredited Bachelor of Hospitality Management – a 3 year Degree programme & a City & Guilds, QCTO accredited Professional Culinary Arts Programme. SHS is considered one of the best hotel and culinary institutions in Africa.
Culinary studies take place in our three kitchens and our ’33 on Bond’ Restaurant on campus. Hospitality Management studies are taught by a faculty made up of inspiring academics and hospitality management experts.
Learners have the opportunity to complete their internships in various parts of the world including Switzerland, UK, USA, Europe and Australia.
The Swiss Hotel School has an excellent reputation with International hospitality organizations as well as top companies in South Africa and has an association with BHMS in Switzerland that allows graduates to study Masters in Hospitality Management or a Culinary Degree.
